Policy
This Policy is intended solely for the Association (QH Community) and approved QH Community Clubs (See QHRRP 7000-015 (Community Clubs)). Our policy is to protect the Queen’s Harbour Marks in order to safeguard and protect the premier status and reputation of the Community.

The Association will take the necessary action to register its trademarks and protect their use, including requiring licensing agreements for the use of the trademarks and ensuring only authorized users are using the trademarks.

Definition
A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol or design, or a combination of words, phrases, symbols or designs, that identifies and distinguishes the source of the goods of one party from those of others.
Ownership
The Association is the owner of numerous registered and unregistered trademarks and service marks (See “Current Trademarks” and “Unregistered marks” below).
Merchandise sale
In addition to the Association, approved QH Community Clubs are permitted to sell merchandise and charge fees for services within the scope of their purpose and function in the normal course of such club’s activities.

Example: The Association and QH Community Clubs may sell items such as shirts and caps, wine glasses, mugs, water bottles, etc… bearing the Marks.

Use of trademark
Use of the Marks is restricted to the Association and approved QH Community Clubs. Concerning QH Community clubs, to be eligible for use of Marks…

No other person or group engaged in commercial activities within or outside the QH Community is authorized to use the Association’s Marks.
