Definition
QH Community Clubs are chartered clubs.  Charted clubs are defined as any group of residents that share a common interest in a hobby, social, cultural or recreational activity and that has met the Board of Directors approved criterial required for a formal charter.
Policy
Our policy is to provide, administer and maintain Association facilities and services (Association Amenities) to enhance the quality of life and the value of homes.  This policy defines the relationship between the Association and QH Community Clubs and specifies the qualification requirements for clubs to be an Association-Recognized Club.
Background
Community Clubs within the community are formed by QH property owners for benefit of special interest groups. While clubs contribute to the quality of life in the QH community for interested property owners and may enhance the image of the community, they are outside the Association’s “purpose and object” and are therefore independent of the Association.  As such, club(s)…

  • activities utilizing Association property or amenities must comply with Association rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • are not eligible to receive Association funds in support of their activities unless these activities are designated by the Association BOD as a community event sponsored or co-sponsored by the Association with participation open to all Association members.
Recognized clubs
Clubs meeting the conditions set forth herein will be designated as an Association Recognized Club (QH Community Club). QH Community Clubs may be extended the privileges associated with Association amenities afforded to individual Association members.
Non-Resident membership
Some QH Community Clubs may allow individuals who are not members of the Association to participate and/or be members.

Non-resident members of clubs are considered to have the status of guests of the resident members (Club Sponsors).

QH Community Clubs and the Club Sponsors are responsible for guest compliance with Association Policies and procedures.  Failure to ensure non-resident compliance may result in the loss of QH Community Club status.

Qualification
To qualify for QH Community Club privileges for amenity usage, a club must…

  • provide activities that are intended to enhance the quality of living in QH for Association members with a common interest.
  • be open to all interested Association members and comprised of a minimum of 75% Association members with a majority of the officers also being members of the Association.  A roster of current membership showing who is an Association member and who is not must be provided.
  • not engage in activities that violate federal state or local laws or adversely impact the image of the QHYCC development or the Association.
  • not be routinely engaged in the solicitation, or exchange, of fees or other forms of compensation for providing goods or service or be a for-profit organization.
Recognized club designation
To be an Association Recognized QH Community Club and receive such designation, submit QHFORM 7000/1 (QH Recognized Club Application) to the QH Board of Directors for approval.  Biannually clubs must verify compliance with the qualification requirements, including resubmission of a current membership roster.
Use of trademarks
The Association is the owner of numerous registered and unregistered trademarks and service marks (Marks).  QH Community Clubs may use the Marks in conjunction with their club’s name and activities in accordance with QHRRP 1000-020 (Trademark Policy).
