Purpose
To consult or advise the BOD regarding creation or implementation of new strategies, policies, or expenditure of funds in excess of those previously approved in the annual budget.  The spending authorities of the individual EC members is further defined in the Authority to Commit Funds Policy – QHRRP 9000-200.

The EC will compose of these BOD positions …

  • The President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
When to meet
The EC may convene monthly in these circumstances…

  • In advance of a BOD meetings,
  • As needed, or
  • As scheduled by the President
Duties
Here are the duties and responsibilities of the EC…

  • Prepare a draft Board meeting agenda at least 14 business days prior to the scheduled board meeting.
  • Develop, review and make recommendations to the Board on Association strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Exercise the Authority of the Board in Association legal matters when authorized by the Board of Directors.
  • Provide direction and oversight to the General Manager on Association business approved by the Board between Board meetings. In times of emergencies such as storm preparedness and response direct General Manager as needed and ratify all decisions with the Board of Directors.
  • Work with the Association’s insurance agent of record on all association insurance matters.
  • Participate in the interview process of candidates for the POA office after the General Manager conducts first rounds of interviews.
  • Meet with other Directors as needed to discuss specific issues and develop strategies, policy recommendations and resolutions as required for presentation to and affirmation by the full Board of Directors.
  • Attend and participate, individually or as a group, in special meetings as required to address issues affecting QH and its residents.
