Purpose
Non-resident tennis memberships have been established for the sole purpose of augmenting Queen’s Harbour tennis teams to provide enough players at the needed skill levels.  This allows residents the opportunity to participate in competitive team/league play where they otherwise would not be able to because of an insufficient number of players.
Requirement
As a prerequisite for non-resident membership, at least one family member must be needed and commit to play as a member of a Queen’s Harbour tennis team. Non-resident members must be approved by the tennis director.
Max memberships
The number of non-resident memberships shall not exceed the number of residents participating in competitive team/league play.
Duration of membership
Non-resident membership shall be annual and shall require payment of monthly membership fees as set by the Board of Directors, at least one month in advance.

A notice will be sent if fees are 30 days delinquent, and court privileges will be suspended. At 60 days, membership will be terminated, and the account will be referred to a collection agency.

Renewal
Memberships are subject to annual review. Renewal is not guaranteed.  Non-resident membership needs shall be reviewed annually considering the total number of non-resident participants required to support competitive team/league play. Priority for membership renewal shall be given to non-resident members whose skill levels best meet the needs of the competitive team structure. Any review of non-resident memberships shall be conducted by the Tennis Committee and if need be, by the QH Amenities Director.
Cost
Current fee structure will be determined by the board and will be subject to change without notice.
Reservations
Residents may reserve courts up to 1 week in advance; non-resident members may not reserve a court more than 72 hours in advance.
Controls
In addition to the policies and guidelines above, non-resident tennis memberships shall be subject to the following…

  • Each league team must have a captain and a co-captain. A resident member must be active in the role as either the captain or the co-captain.
  • At least 50% of the total Queen’s Harbour competitive tennis team program participants must be residents.
  • The number of non-resident members on a specific team may exceed 50% only if after review of that team’s circumstances, the Tennis Director grants an exception.
  • Residents have priority for court reservations in advance of non-resident members.

Non-resident members are not entitled to use any of the Queen’s Harbour Community Center amenities other than the tennis facilities and programs.
