Policy

- All vessels (including personal watercraft) operating within the lagoon will maintain a “no wake/dead idle speed”. Motor vessels will yield or give way to kayaks, canoes, rowing vessels or sailing boats in the lagoon, marina and entry channel.
- Sailing within the lagoon system is permitted, provided that the operator and occupants of the vessel do not enter the water. If a sailing vessel turns over, it must be immediately righted and re-boarded.
- No vessel will be operated in the lagoon system in a manner that may result in injury to persons, vessels, or property damage. Such activity will be considered reckless boating. A vessel owner or operator engaged in reckless boating activity will be responsible for all damages that may occur because of such activity. Moreover, consistent with the severity of the activity, the POA with the advice of the Marina and Harbor Committee Chair and Harbormaster may suspend the lagoon and lock use privileges for the owner and/or operator involved in such activity.
- Operating within the lagoon is a privilege; all vessels will be closely monitored. Any infraction of the above rules will result in the termination of this privilege.
