Because Architectural Lighting is a modification of the exterior of the home, ARB approval is required before permanently installing exterior lights of any kind. Lighting information includes:
- Architectural lighting is defined as “warm” white non-flashing lighting.
- Exterior Mounted ‘Flood’ Lights are only permitted to be mounted and/or directed at the garage or sides and rear of the house.
- No lighting shall be permitted, which alters the residential character of the community.
- Exterior lighting for front porch, back porch/patio, and garage coach lights are permitted as down lighting.
- Architectural Exterior Lighting cannot outline doors, windows, roof lines or other architectural features of the house.
- Gemstone, Trimlight or similar permanent lighting used as holiday/seasonal decorative lighting must follow the same seasonal/holiday as per holiday lights guidelines. See QHRRP 3000-080 (Holiday Decorations).
