Introduction
The City of Jacksonville Solid Waste Division’s mission is to provide environmentally sound and cost-effective solid waste and recycling services for the City of Jacksonville that exceed customers’ expectations.

Bulk no later than 6:00am on collection day and no earlier than 5:00pm the day prior. Tires and appliances require a special scheduled collection – please call 904.630.2489 or visit the MyJax online customer service website.
Garbage no later than 6:00am on collection day and no earlier than 5:00pm the day prior.  Remove empty receptacles by 6:00am the day after collection.
Recycling no later than 6:00am on collection day and no earlier than 5:00pm the day prior.  Recyclables should be loose in the city-issued cart – not bagged.  Remove empty receptacles by 6:00am the day after collection.
Yard Waste no later than 6:00am on collection day and no earlier than 5:00pm the day prior.  Yard waste collection is limited to a maximum of 5 cubic yards per event. Limbs and logs must be no more than six inches in diameter and less than five feet in length. No single item can weigh more than 40 pounds. Do not mix boards, plywood, etc. with yard waste.

Note:

1.      Per Florida Statute 720.305(7)(a), the Association may not levy a fine or impose a suspension for leaving garbage receptacles at the curb or end of the driveway within 24 hours before or after the designated garbage collection day or time.

2.      Household hazardous wastes (HHW) cannot be collected curb side.  See QHRRP 3000-075 (Hazardous Material).  Residents may take items to the city’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility:

Commercial yard waste
Commercial tree firms, lawn service firms, and nurseries must collect, remove, and properly dispose of any yard waste they generate.  The city collection service is not required to and will not pick-up any tree trunks, stumps, limbs, and trimmings generated by a commercial tree or lawn service company.
Bin storage
Garbage or recycling containers are required to be stored out of sight from the street, common area and neighboring property.

Violation
