  • Handheld.
Who can have RFID decal?
Here is a list of people who are eligible for an RFID decal…

  • Property owners
  • Tenants (home renter)
  •  Non-residents sponsored by the property owner, include…
    • Family member
    • In-home childcare provider
    • Healthcare provider
  • Non-residents (tennis and pickleball)
  • Golf course and club employees
  • Golf course and club members

Note:  Non-residents (in-home childcare or healthcare providers) require prior approval from the Property Manager before an RFID decal can be issued.

RFID decal expiration
Here is when RFID decals expire…

Eligible individuals… Expires…
Property owners two years from date of issue.
Tenants (home renter) one year from date of issuance or end of lease whichever occurs first.
Non-resident (family member) one year from date of issue.
Non-resident (in-home childcare provider) one year from date of issue.
Non-resident (in-home healthcare provider) one year from date of issue.
Non-resident (tennis and pickleball) one year from date of issue or upon non-payment of fees.
Golf course and club employees one year from date of issue or termination of employment whichever occurs first.
Golf course and club members one year from date of issue or termination of membership whichever occurs first.

Note:  All the above RFIDs expire upon sale, loss, theft of a vehicle or the replacement of a windshield.

Handheld RFID decal rules
Handheld RFID decals are limited to residents or tenants…

  • that are in the business of buying and/or selling cars where their personal vehicle changes frequently.  Valid driver’s license and proof of employment is required.  Property Manager approval required.
  • that have a rental car while their Queen’s Harbour-registered vehicle is being repaired.  The maximum duration of a temporary handheld RFID decal will be six (6) weeks.  Additionally, property owners or tenants must…
    • provide a valid driver’s license.
    • prove the vehicle undergoing repairs has a current Queen’s Harbour RFID decal.
    • pay a fee of $10.00 for residents and $25.00 for tenants.
    • pay a deposit of $200.  When the temporary handheld RFID decal is returned to the POA office, the deposit will be refunded.
Vehicles with temporary tags
Vehicles with a temporary tag that are eligible for an RFID decal can be issued an RFID decal with the normal fee and an additional $100.00 deposit.   When vehicle owner returns to the POA Office with the permanent registration and permanent license plate number, the deposit will be refunded.
Sale, loss or theft of vehicle
Upon sale, loss or theft of a vehicle, you must notify the POA office.
Damaged RFID decals
The charge to replace damaged RFID decals is $25.

Note:  Only tenants listed on the lease or rental agreement and their children, living in the household of driving age with a vehicle, are eligible to receive an RFID decal.

Where to get RFID decals
The POA office.  To assure trouble free use, Association employees will affix the RFID decals in the correct position at the time of issuance.
Gate access
Eligible individuals who do not have an RFID decal on their vehicle are not authorized to enter through the resident gate.
Violation
Violations may result in a fine being levied against the offending property owner by the Association.
