Policy
The Queen’s Harbour fitness center is for the use of Queen’s Harbour Property Owners who reside in Queen’s Harbour and residents.  All patrons of the fitness center are advised to exercise AT YOUR OWN RISK. Queen’s Harbour is not responsible for damage or theft to personal property that is brought into the fitness center.
General rules
Please follow these rules when using the fitness center…

  • All residents are offered to attend an orientation and fitness assessment to ensure proper operation of equipment and performance of exercises.
  • Management is granted the right to prohibit use of the fitness center to any individual who is…
    • unruly or using loud, obnoxious or profane language, or
    • is wearing graphically obscene or profane clothing.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the fitness center or on the premises.
  • Residents must wipe down equipment after use. Management reserves the right to prohibit access to residents who do not adhere to this rule.
  • Fitness related activities are only permitted in the fitness center.
Who can use?
The fitness center is for the exclusive use of…

  • residents 18 years and older.
  • out-of-town guest temporarily staying at the property owner’s home.  Owners must first notify the POA office and register their guests prior to use of the fitness center.
  • children ages 15-17 years of age who have…
    • written consent from a resident parent or guardian, or
    • are continuously supervised by an adult (18 or older).
  • physical therapists who are providing medical services directly to a Queen’s Harbour Resident. The resident must receive approval from Management prior to using the Fitness Center.

Note:  residents’ friends or family that live in the Jacksonville Metro area are not considered out-of-town guests.

Who cannot use?
The fitness center cannot be used by…

  • children under the age of 15.
  • non-residents.
  • personal trainers and instructors not approved by the POA. This includes personal trainers that are invited by a property owner.
  • property owners who are delinquent on their assessment more than 90 days or have an outstanding property violation.
Classes
Queen’s Harbour has agreements with personal trainers to provide classes to residents.  No other trainers are permitted to use the facility without Queen’s Harbour POA approval.

Residents must schedule with the trainers directly and pay the trainers for their services.  Residents are limited to two POA approved agreements at a time.

Attire
Appropriate attire in the fitness center includes…

  • proper footwear, no open toed shoes or sandals.
  • comfortable, non-revealing clothing.
  • no graphically obscene or profane clothing.
  • no wet swimsuits.
Supplies
Although residents are encouraged to bring their own supplies, Queen’s Harbour will provide these supplies on a first-come-first-served basis while quantities last to authorized users of the fitness center…

  • sanitary wipes
  • equipment cleaner
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
Food and drinks
Food or uncovered drinks are not allowed in the exercise areas.  Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the fitness center.
